How Do I Return An Item?

Allow us to assist with problems you might incur with your order. Often, we can solve your problems over the phone or by email. Our sales staff is located in Brooklyn, NY, and is available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, Monday – Thursday and 9:00 am to 1:30pm EST, Friday. They are there to assist you in your purchases.

Errors or Defects with Orders

In the event, Ortmayer Materials Handling, Inc. made an error or there was a defect with your order, please call us at 1-718-875-7995 immediately so that we may rectify the issue. If it is decided the products are to be returned, Ortmayer Materials Handling, Inc. will issue an RMA (return merchandise authorization) form to the purchaser.

General Returns

Notification of returns must be received within 15 days of delivery. Returns MUST arrive back at our warehouse within 30 days of delivery to customer. Please notify us of any issues or return requests by email: [email protected]


Once notified, Ortmayer Materials Handling, Inc will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) to be included with the returned products. RMA MUST be included with the return in order for credit to be processed.


A 20 percent restock fee applies.


Ortmayer Materials Handling, Inc dose not accept returns on custom-made products such as pallet dollies, castered dollies, dock or ramp equipment.

Returns are to be in original, unused condition with no signs of wear, damage, or use. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs incurred for returns

Back Ordered Items

Filling Backorders

If an item is back ordered, we will notify you via e-mail. Shipments scheduled more than 30 days after the order date: We will notify you via email and give you a cancellation option.

Backorders will be filled before new orders when the backordered items become available.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of submission. Please contact your Ortmayer Materials Handling, Inc customer service representative at [email protected] to cancel. Office hours are Monday – Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm & Friday 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM.
